Fooderlon Theater
Fooderlon Theater invites you to explore a fun yet meaningful question in this workshop: when a group of animals comes together, who becomes the leader—and how do they learn to work with one another? The story weaves in the spirit of the Year of the Horse—courage, speed, and moving forward against the wind.
The workshop begins with a short theatrical performance by Fooderlon Theater. Use your creativity and recycled cardboard to create a one-of-a-kind small horse puppet of your own. Your horse becomes the protagonist of the story, shaping an ending that is uniquely yours.
Be part of a story that is being created right before your eyes! Together, you’ll discover that leadership can mean cooperation, listening, and moving forward as one. This Lunar New Year, bring your hands and imagination, and experience the warmth of living art in everyday life as we welcome a brand new beginning together.
Fooderlon Theater
Founded in 2014, Fooderlon Theater brings together artists and educators dedicated to children’s theater education. The name “Fooderlon,” derived from the Chinese words for blessing (fu 福), virtue (de 德), and prosperity (long 隆), reflects the company’s belief in growth through creativity, empathy, and moral strength.
Inspired by Chinese cultural values of reverence for nature and kinship, Fooderlon uses drama as a method—blending imagination, aesthetics, and real-life experience—to help children explore courage, awareness, and connection with others.
Through performances, workshops, and community-based projects, the company encourages young people to think, create, and express themselves responsibly within a group.
Fooderlon’s productions often combine natural materials and recycled objects, turning theater into a space where art, play, and sustainability meet. Since its founding, Fooderlon has presented over a thousand workshops and performances in collaboration with cultural foundations and schools, building a theater of growth rooted in creativity, empathy, and hope.
