Imagine a horse galloping from Taiwan to Canada, from the West Coast to the East Coast, carrying everyone’s creativity as we welcome the new year together!
At LunarFest, Fooderlon Theater will set up a live stop-motion animation of running horses. Grab a paintbrush, and bring your creativity, imagination, and memories to life on your horse. Fooderlon Theater will photograph and record your work, connecting it with creations from different cities, cultures, and ages to eventually complete a full stop-motion animation. These galloping horses become a cross-cultural exchange, bringing diverse voices together into a collaborative artwork and symbolizing Lunar New Year reunion.
Come to LunarFest and join Fooderlon Theater in this trans-Pacific stop-motion animation project! Every horse, every frame, showcases individual expression while celebrating the collective joy of welcoming a brand-new Year of the Horse.

Adreena Chan
Adreena is the creator of A Gem Design. She designs and makes beaded jewellery and accessories. Being an artist has been a part of her whole life, and in recent years she has discovered a love for working with UV resin as a jewellery art medium. She is excited to finally share my knowledge and passion for UV resin through her work and workshops.
Adreena enjoys sharing her creative journey in small, hands-on workshops at Jade CraftHouse, an artist gallery shop in North Vancouver, where creativity and learning come together. As a second-generation Canadian with Chinese heritage rooted in Hong Kong, she continues to reconnect with her cultural background while improving her Cantonese.
